| Training
and Careers for Armed Forces personnel The main goal of Rope Access UK is to train ex-forces personnel in industrial roped access and then find work for them. This sets Rope Access UK apart from many other training companies, who are only interested in receiving MOD resettlement grants. Because roped access is one of the fastest growing fields of specialization within the building and construction industry, there is ample potential to find rewarding and well paid work, both at home and abroad. Roped access is rapidly gaining in popularity in the USA and Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Hong Kong, Norway, South Africa, Singapore, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines and of course, the UK. For the last twelve years industrial abseilers have played a major part in the construction of the Olympic and commonwealth games stadiums.
America has just recently adopted our methods of industrial roped access and
is looking to recruit well trained roped access operatives.
A roped access career is well suited to the service man or women leaving the armed forces as it
offers the potential to travel the world, earn good money and still work as part of a team. The work you could be involved in covers a vast
range, from cleaning windows or painting an office tower, to maintaining
pipework on an offshore oil or gas platform. You could be rigging
a communications tower or a concert, theatre or TV stage; stabilizing a
rock face or performing non-destructive testing. The variety
is endless, and with the right training, almost any job can be carried
out safely using industrial roped access. |
